Torrey Pines Gulls Radio Control Soaring Society, Inc. (TPG) is a not-for-profit corporation whose purpose is to support and encourage member participation in the hobby/sport of model sailplane flying. TPG is an AMA chartered club and therefore proof of membership in the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) is a prerequisite for TPG membership. Membership in AMA provides liability and property damage insurance while operating model aircraft safely and with the permission of the site owner.
Note: You are required by the Gliderport operator, Air California Adventure, LLC, to annually sign a liability waiver form at the Gliderport office/shop before permission to fly at Torrey Pines Gliderport will be granted.
The form below may be used to apply for, or renew membership in TPG. Dues are as follows:
- Full Members – $60 per year
- Junior rate up to 19 is $5
- Student rate 19 or older is $30 per year
- Receive a credit of up to $20 on your membership dues. $10.00 per each half-day working at any TPG flying field
New members joining in the first six months of the year pay the full rate. Those joining in July through September pay half the applicable rate. If you are a new member joining in October through December you pay the full rate but your membership is considered paid through the end of the following year.
Please pay online using PayPal, which allows payment using PayPal, debit or credit card. If however, you choose to pay by check or cash, please email the membership chairman at: membership@torreypinesgulls.org to receive a membership application form. When the form is completed, please mail your membership application and payment using the provided pre-addressed return envelope.
The results of the form will be electronically submitted to TPG’s membership chairman. You will also receive an email of the form results as a confirmation. Please be sure to provide your email address on the application.
